Collaborations with other artists
I have also had the opportunity to collaborate and create with artists who work at the intersection of Arts, Science, and Communication.
Bodies at Sea at The Archives at NCBS
This exhibit where Devika Sundar and Kamini Rao looked at the transition between the visible and the invisible, the experienced and the unseen. It gave space for my commentary on the biological cells and their ‘agency’. I also shared learnings from my practice with the audience at the Archives.

Dust and Debris
Line Krom, a BangaloResdient was hosted by the Archives at NCBS. Our collaboration was processual, it revolved around playing with materials and sharing experiences from scientific and artistic training. The reciprocal dialogue was filled with trials, walks, and dialogues. Some of the discussion ended up in the journal the artist collated at the end of her residency.
We also shared experiences about our work in a discussion held at the herb garden at NCBS.

How to be a Fig
In collaboration with Abhisheka Krishnagopal, Veena Basavarajaiah, other scientists, professionals, and homemakers, we put up a body movement performance based on the ecology of fig trees. This performance was built on choreographed as well as devised sequences. The performance was presented at the Student Conference for Conservation Science, 2017 and received well. Reported in media here and here.
